  1. Perth is a beautifull clean city, with great diversity, the hills are mystical ,gorgeous housing and spectacular views, with great picnic and family holiday arears.  yokine is an inner suburb north of city 10/15 minutes to city with traffic and same to beach .   it is a safe enough area with now many more units and villas and duplex developmemnt and housing because of its close proximity to the city.Close to next door suburb of Inaloo which has major movie theatres and shopping for you.  As a suburb it is old and still has some original houses here and there and small pockets with some views , a golf course is also allocated in their area and a small college, with naturally schools and high and minor. Most suburbs are family friendly , the only thing that distinguishes them as safer than others is usually the price! say for instance an area where homes are $600,00 or over are usually the safest  arears, below or $365,000 are areas where state housing in some cases have been secretly combined in streets here and there and in most cases problems arise , from rough occuppants, drug abuse, domestic abuse, poverty, high theft rate of other's posetions vechicles and so on.and vandelism.

  2. Perth? But... Why? Why not... Brisbane... Sydney... or dare I say it... MELBOURNE... but why PERTH??

  3. Yokine is quite good. There's a lot of expensive places to rent or buy there, but also quite a few cheap rental flats as well. It's very handy with a number of bus routes via Flinders Street, Wanneroo Road and Alexander Drive available depending upon which part of Yokine you are looking at.

Dog Swamp shopping centre is very good and there is a 24 hour shop on the other side of Wanneroo Road.

The area basically dates from after WW2 with War Service Houses and then State Housing, but little of that is left now, as developers have pretty much transformed the area since the 1990's.

There are some nice Parks in Yokine and I rented a flat in MacDonald St right next to one of these parks for a few years. It was a really cheap flat in the Lilleyman complex but having said that there were no crooks or thugs anywhere in those flats to annoy us, so I was really surprised.
