I am wondering which are the good or bad areas of these two towns.we are willing to pay up to $ 280 in rent.

Also wondering if there are any especially floodprone areas

  1. I love Nambucca Heads =) I holiday there most years and always have had a great time, the people are friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

  2. Don't go to Toormina, a suburb south of Coffs - it has a bad rep for hoons etc. Avoid the Bray Street area of Coffs too.  Sawtell is nice, although you won't get much for $280 a week there, maybe a two-bed unit. Most of central Coffs is okay and you ought to get a house for $280 a week there. Boambee East where I live is friendly and a good area although it's 10km south of Coffs, the same as Sawtell. To the north, you have Korora, Diggers and Sapphire and Moonee which are nice, but they are more expensive. I think you'd be better off in central Coffs. The area around Thompsons Road is good (ask the agents). Or try the renting section on domain.com.au and good luck.

Sorry but I don't know Nambucca.

Flood prone areas are anywhere to the east of Coffs that isn't on a hill, basically!
