"I have been asked a lot of times about how it feels to be the favourites. But I do not see us as favourites. We just believe that we could come here and win," the all-rounder said. "The calibre of the players we have means that once
we go out there and play we can go all the way in this tournament."
Sammy is of the view that it is hard to predict results in the T20 format because of its nature and any team can be beaten on a given day.
"Anyone can have a chance of winning in T20 cricket because the games are shorter and that brings the teams closer together. I don't think you can say that we are favourites," the West Indian captain added.
The Caribbean team is placed in group ‘B’ along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751, and will play their first practice match of the event tomorrow, against Sri Lanka at Colombo.
