Never having been there before, what should we be sure to not miss doing or seeing while we are there?

  1. You probably know that it will be very hot and humid.  Which (for me, anyway) means changing clothes a lot because everything is so "sticky"!  You need comfortable walking shoes - many of the roads are cobblestone and sort of hard to walk around on.   The malecon is great on weekend evenings when the local families are just hanging out there.  (The local people are really the best part of PV area in my opinion.  We enjoy taking the buses - a good place to be among them, and you  may get serenaded!))  If you get a chance to go out in a boat, try to see the south part of the bay - it is beautiful!  Go into "Old  Town" (on the south side of the Rio Cuale right in town, just a little ways up from Los Muertos Beach) and eat street tacos.

  2. rhythms of the night very romantic and awesome, swimming with the dolphins is a must, great food.

It will be ever so hot and gumid during your visit pack lite.

    Have a wonderful time.

  3. If you don't know what to do there, why are you going?
