  1. Pay the water bill and escrow your rent. Yes call the housing office in your area and report the landlord. I think it would violate the housing code to have the utilities shut off on an occupied residence, but the owner is probably going broke and you will probably get a foreclosure notice when they stop paying the mortgage if they haven't already stopped.

  2. Water is the essence of Life!!

and it is a Health and Safety violation which makes your apartment UNINHABITABLE ifin yo lacks it!

I hate to ask what your bathroom must smell like w/out water!!??

    Call code enforcement immediately

  3. Call the landlord and call the health department.  If you hit roadblocks, call the local tv stations and newspapers.  If you can move, move.

  4. In some states they have what is known a "Landlord/Tenent rights". Look in the Yellow Pages under Fair Housing Agreements in the Lawyer sction. You may be able to withold rent .for the water inconvenience

  5. Well, you need to talk to the landlord and tell them that it needs to be fixed immediately.  Be persistent and if they ignore you tell them that if it's not fixed within the week you'll be moving.

  6. call your city code enforcer and/or your local tv news reporter

  7. First talk to the landlord ....

If you get nowhere with the landlord; then call the health department and they wilol take the necessary action ....

IF you have minor children; you can also call Children's Services or the Social Services/Welfare Dept ....
