  1. I just did a search on Expedia and the Gran Caribe Real is on sale for 6 days the second week of June, for about 600 a person. It is all inclusive and located off the main street in Cancun. We went there about two years ago and had a blast. Check to see if the prices are still the same! Good luck!

  2. We stayed at the Riu Cancun and really loved it.  Our cost included our airfare from Cincinnati, and the total cost was $2300.  That included a week at the all-inclusive resort, shuttle bus transportation to and from the airport, and airfare.

The resort was great - we'd definitely choose it again if we went back.

  3. Try Priceline name your own price and Orbitz for your hotel. I have found using these two sites and booking separate air to be much cheaper than booking at full rate via Expedia. I am going in May, and I paid $700 for 2 flights from Kansas City, and $89 per night ($106 with tax) for 8 nights at the Hilton Cancun Golf resort (usually around $170/night). So the total trip is $1548 for 8 nights, and after reading the tripadvisor.com reviews, the Hilton seems very nice.

If you use Hotwire to book your room, you can figure out which hotel they're going to put you at by matching dollar amount and star rating. Let's say for instance that it says $89 for each night at a four star hotel and your savings is $45. Go on Expedia and and look for 4 star hotels that are $134, and that's where it's going to book you, or at least everytime I've used it that has been the case. Make sure the map on Expedia matches the geographic area on Hotwire to make sure.

Also, I am staying in Cozumel 1 night and did Priceline.com name your own price and got the Wyndham All inclusive for $147 total, or about 1/2 of normal price. (Though it does not get really great reviews, it seems ok and $147 for All inclusive sounds pretty good.)

    Good luck planning!!
