Yes, absolutely..... june is the perfect month to visit shimla..... if u r not prone to puking in mountains then hiring a car will be best as u'll enjoy nature and the himachali natives more closely..... its very thrilling.......... so have a happy journey......

but you did not mention from where you are going to start  as you have written that we are  5  then the better choice will be train. to kalka from your place and then from kalka to simla by hill toy train.
