  1. Rincon has the best beaches. I stayed their with my family and young kids. they loved it! try angelo's car rental in rincon.

  2. You can make your own decisions  by cheking

    www.tripadvisor.com

    www.gotopuertorico.com

    www.welcome.topuertorico.org

  3. If you'll like to surf, i recomend Rincon, on the west coast.  San Juan and Isla Verde are more miami beach / waikiki beach style. if you'll want to have the beach all for yourselves, i recomend Culebra and Vieques. If you like ice skating, theres a nice ice skating ring, (i forgot the towns name, but teens like to go to that place for some reason).

  4. If you have never been before, then I suggest you stay in either the SJ area (Isla Verde) or somewhere on the NE.

With a family, it may work out better for you to get a vacation rental with a kitchen (more room to move and you can save on food expenses).  Check out places like www.VRBO.com or www.VRconnection.com

    Must sees:

    Old San Juan

    El Yunque rain forest

    Bio Bay

If you are into beaches- Culebra's Flamenco beach

Lots of other things- ATV's, zip line tours, snorkel boat tour, nature reserve tours, kayaking, horseback riding.

    The list is almost endless!

  6. Puerto Rico is a great place for vacation. First you need to decide where on the island you would like to stay, then you can look for a hotel. San Juan is the largest city. It is also the main tourist area. This is a good place to stay because you have everything close by. Restaraunts, casinos, sights & even beaches. The only thing is that the beaches in San Juan are Not the best in PR. Isla Verde beach is nice, it has a Miami beach feel. San Juan is close to the main airport & has public transportation. You can also rent a car(I recomend Thrifty or Payless) if you want to see the sights outside San Juan or stay in a different town. But you must atleast spend 1 full day in SJ. There are alot of historical & government sights to see. The have walking tours available.  The biggest must see is El Morro Fort & Old San Juan is very beautiful to walk through.

Some of the best beaches in PR are on Culebra & Vieques islands off the east coast. These are very quiet islands with small hotels & guest Inns. There are no high rises or traffic. Just a nice place to relax. There is great snorkeling & wild horses. Vieques has a bioluminescent bay that glows in the dark.  Also on east coast (but on the mainland) you will find El Yunque Rain forest located in Rio Mar(45 mins from San Juan). You an walk the trails or hike & swim in refreshing waterfalls. Nearby is Luquillo beach & sevenseas beach.

In the north you can go to Rio Camuy Caves & Arecibo Telescope(worlds largest radio telescope). The central area has beautiful mountain views. The west coast has nice beaches. The Souht coast has the city of Ponce with a european feel. You can see Seralles castle & the old fire station. Guanica dry forest is nearby too. Check out the links below & hopefully you can plan your trip. Enjoy :)
