  1. Well, if you visit the East coast of Australia, specifically Sydney, then there are a lot of things to see. For example, The Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Centre Point Tower. There is also a zoo located near the cbd, art galleries and Museums, Acquariums, as well as a casino (if you are into that). Visit the main tourism website for more options in other parts of the country: http://www.australia.com/

  2. Depends where you are going. If you're going to the Gold Coast in Queensland, then you can see the themeparks (Movie world, dream world, wet n' wild, sea world, etc), plus the beachs there are great. Sydney, of course theres the Opera House, and theres also Fox Studios. Other places don't have too many popular touristy things but usually you can just go with it by ear.

  3. Whatever you want to!

B*gger! Jimmy beat me to it!

  4. Where are you coming from? (That would give a better idea of what you like)

Australia is the size of mainland USA (not including Alaska) so 2 weeks will go quickly here.

Cairns (north east) has an international airport to fly into. Coral reefs, beach life, island cruises, ... and the rainforest near there has a live butterfly enclosure you can walk through with tropical butterflies you'd never seen before.

Gold Coast (south of Brisbane) is the theme park holiday center. Fishing tours, Currumbin (Aust)wildlife park, surf beaches, great attractions for singles or families.

Coffs Harbour has dolphins, bananna center, warm beaches (1 day)

Sydney has iconic landmarks (Opera House and Harbour Bridge), and a few things to keep 4 million fun loving aussies happy. When the Olympics were there in 2000, lots of visitor friendly things sprang up.

Melbourne has culture, sporting events, and usually a climate not as hot as the north.

Any major center has many tourist attractions ... just remember distance. Getting off the plane in Sydney, jumping in a taxi, and asking to be driven to Ayres Rock is like arriving in Tampa and asking a taxi to take you to the Grand Canyon
