The Dynamo Moscow striker has assured the fans of working hard and has urged the Russian national team to win the opening game against Czech Republic
Dynamo Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576, has conceded that the Russian national team is well equipped and well prepared for the upcoming European tournament, assuring the fans of winning the opening match of the group A against
Czech Republic at Stadion Miejski on Friday.
There is little arguing that Russia have been placed in a comparatively easy group as compared to some other groups in Euros. They will play the group stage matches against Poland, Greece and Czech Republic respectively.
While Russia faces the Narodak, Poland will lock horns with Greece at Stadion Narodowy on Friday.
Kokorin, who has managed to cement his place in the final 23-man squad, has conceded that he is not concerned about whom they play against in the European tournament, insisting that Russia need to focus on their game.
The 21-year-old believes that his national side can upset any opposition in the world if they play their own game.
“Today’s workout was just a little better but yesterday's workout was longer in which we had spent more time on exercise. I find it hard to tell how the team is ready for the match against the Czech Republic but for training it
is clear that the team spirit is very good.”
“In principle, I think, we are ready to play. Everything is very much alive. I do not know, about how we will play but in a match with the Czech Republic, the main thing is to get a good result.” The Russian national was quoted
as saying.
Kokorin went on to express his desire to get more playing time for his national side in the continental tournament. He assured the fans that he is working harder to help his side reach the later stages of the tournament.
There is little arguing to the fact that Sergei Silkin, the manager, has given the former Lokomotiv Moscow forward more starts this season. However, the promising striker has failed to impress after scoring just five goals from
37 Russian Premier League appearances.
