That sounds like a fun site. If you don't plan on starting with thousands of products, PayPal integrated with a content management system should do the trick. WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal all have ecommerce plugins that utilize paypal and often google checkout as payment processors. Many times these plugins also offer shopping cart functions.

For the least complicated way to start, you can use a hosted blog like wordpress.com or install it on your own host and add each product as a blog post. Create buy now buttons in paypal and include the button code in each post. By working with the theme you  can display your products in a grid layout and have a really great looking site.
