  1. when arriving in Perth, stay at the Good Earth Hotel in Adelaide Terrace

it is very good on deals and prices.Western Australia is coming in to the wild flower season now, so any where you choose to walk off the track will be covered in flowers.

While in Perth go to Forrest Place there is the big W.A Visitor centre there , who will help you with brochures ideas on where you can go and stay cheaply, and do the things you want to do. they wil even book accomodation for you or just give you ideas, you need to go up the West coast a bit if you want warmer weather to snorkel this time of year

  2. Rottnest, Coral Bay or Shark Bay, Exmouth, Kalbarri, Broome, Esperance. For Snorkling.

  3. Right well Hiking and snorkeling.

    Rottnest.

Can be expensive but if you go at the right time it is really good.

Another place for hiking the Bibilmun tract, It's a great hike to do.

This place will have a bit of everything for you but it is a 6hour drive from Perth. It is absolutely beautiful and you can hire a nice place to stay for a OK price if you look around. It's called Denmark.

I hope I've helped a bit. I Love Perth and just Western Australia in general. I'm going to miss it when I move in a few months time to QLD.

  4. in that case,i wouldnt go to perth. go somewhere in the country, like australind, Harvey, Margaret River , Augusta or Nannup.

many lovely country towns, and lots of things to do...

i wouldnt snorkel, youll freeze your butt off.

Bunbury is a large country town, very nice, can still go shopping, lots of accomodation. only 2 hours fromm perth, and theres a train you can take there.

York is very nice, inland town, quite small and very old - nice antique heritage buildings, friendly people, and lots of places to wander round. hiking you can ask to walk round mount bakewell area, else there is a river trail thats quite nice.

if you want to get some swimming done (in OCTOBER?) then margaret river is very good, about 3 hours from perth, but once again lots of accomodation and LOTS to do. its a wine region, so plenty of wine tours, see the caves on the way back, and you can easily go running.

as you can tell im a country girl, never lived in perth :D
