We are traveling to Riviera Maya for spring break. Can our High school kids visit friends at other resorts?

we are staying at the Barcello Maya Palace ( new resort) and wondering if the kids staying at other all inclusives are allowed to visit each other at their hotels..also wondering if this is a good place to take our High School seniors?

You would need to buy a day pass to visit other all-inclusive resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya area where other students are staying. They won't let you visit the resort. Maybe in the lobby. We stayed at a resort this past May and they were checking names and room numbers on occasion. You could always visit outside the resort.

Riviera Maya is very safe. But you will need to keep watch on the drinking. The age is 18 but some places don't check. Especially in small businesses.

I think most trips would be fine as long as everyone is properly supervised.  After the Natalee Holloway disappearance I would hope that students and chaperons would be much more careful.
