We are waitlisted for outside/inside on Princess Cruise.No 6 with 17 days til cruise. What are our chances?

If you don't know this already, contact Princess reservations with your confirmation number and find out how many people are ahead of you on the wait list.  (If you booked your cruise through a travel agent, s/he should be able to tell you.)

Everyone with an assigned cabin has already made their final payment, so there will be a cancellation only due to an emergency.  Conceivably there might be one or two emergency cancellations, but if you're far down on the wait list, there's not a good chance you'll clear it in the next 2+ weeks.

Not likely since final payments have already been made.  The cruise industry is different than the airline industry when it comes to stand-by passengers.

By all means, contact your travel agent and push for him/her to get you on board.  

If you are committed to a vacation that week, you might be able to transfer your booking to another ship.  Princess Cruises is a part of Carnival.  Carnival is the parent company for Cunard, Windstar, Holland America, Costa and the Yachts of Seabourn.
