We are wanting to take out everything and replace with new. A new tub (there is one of the old fashion tubes with the claw bottoms). We want to take that out and put a tub with a shower. We are going to leave the toilet. Need a new vanity, fixtures, lighting, mirror, new floors, walls need to be done. And there is a window there as well. There might need to be some plumbing moved because of how tiny the bathroom because we might want to move a wall out. And there is an old radiator in the bathroom as well. Im not sure if it can be replaced with just a vent or if we would have to keep it there.

  1. When it comes to remodeling your house it is really tuff to put a guesstimate on how much it might run you. First thing for sure tho is to try and do as much of the work yourselves as possible. You'll be spending quite a bit extra if you hire a contractor to install and do the work for you.

As for your bathroom vanities. Sticking a price on cabinets is also tricky. You have to take into consideration what wood species you'll go with, what door style, and what stain color as well. Oak is going to be your cheapest, than maple, cherry, hickory and so on. If you were to go with an oak 36" (36" is the common width for bathroom vanities) that could run you about 250.00 give or take.

A tub/shower unit usually starts in the 450 dollar range and goes up from there. If you end up doing all the work to your bathroom that you listed above than I am going to guessitimate that it'll be between the 1,000 to 2,000 dollar range, depending also on how big of a bathroom you have to remodel.

Hope this kind of gives you an idea, it's hard to go into details on all of it tho, as there is A LOT to cover on in the remodel industry. Let me know if you need more information, I can help.

  2. depends on how much you are willing to spend

  3. I watched sweat equity last night and they said bathroom remodel jobs cost between 8,000 for a small one and 22,000 for a large.  go to DIY.com and you can find info there

  4. I spent $10K for a 6'x10' bathroom!!!

It depends on a lot of factors. We deconstructed and took everything down to the studs ourselves and replaced all the insulation and drywall ourselves. We hired someone to move some plumbing... that's VERY costly. We spent $4K there... BTW, we got estimates ranging from $3K to $8K for the same thing so SHOP AROUND!!! Then there tiles, shower doors, vanity, granite countertops, etc. It all ads up.

  5. price should be between $10,000 to $25,000. Depending what would you want to put in.

You can also call local contractors to give you an estimations. You should shop around.

you can also look around for material that you like an she how much would it cost.

Girl, it just like fine a man, strip him down naked and find for default part. no one say it is easy but it is can be done. lol

  6. It can be very expensive.  But I would suggest just putting in a corner enclosed glass shower only (NO Tub).  And I would replace the toilet with a handicap one.  (handicap toilet is a few inches higher) .
