We bought a wooden playset from Sam's Club and we were told "treat" it first. What kind of sealant do we use?

What type of Behr brand sealent needs to be purchased for an outdoor cedar playset? Redwood color or natural. It appears the cedar playset has a redish brown tint.

You could use Tung oil.  This is good for exterior surfaces and the chief advantage of it is that it soaks into the wood and does not just lay on top, where it can peel off.  Most stains really lay on the surface, as does polyurethane.

Go to the Home Depot paint department. the Behr brand of wood stuff is great, they'll have what you need.
