  1. I don't know. I'm pretty unhappy that I know the few people out of the earth's population that I've run into so far.

  2. No, it is not a matter of great sadness.  I do not want to spend the rest of my life writing birthday cards to six billion people, nor do I want a phone bill that is greater than the gross national product of Canada.

  3. The more people you know. Truly know. The more you will dislike them.

  4. I went to a conference, and there were about a dozen simultaneous sessions for the whole weekend.  They were all very good.  So even though i was there, i was missing over 90% of the show.

This gave me a feeling of richness or wealth.  I could pick the stuff i was really interested in.

And the same is true for all the people on Earth. They're all very good. You can't get to know more than a very small handful.  But you can pick the ones with which to spend your time.

  5. I'm not sure how this is a science question. shouldn't it be like humanities or something. anyways thats a good point.
