We can't think of a creative, special idea?

My brother and I recently found out that our school is going to cost my parents $10,000! this year. Although it's outrageous, my parents want us to have the best education and unfortunately have to make sacrifices to send us there. We want to show them we appreciate their sacrifice but don't know how. We want to do something special without a huge budget bust. What should we do?

  1. I always tried to do big things for my parents but they always ended up liking and appreciating the little things more. I did chores with out being asked. When my mom was sick in bed I went to the store and bought brownie mix, kleenex, a couple good books and a coloring book and crayons for her like she used to do when I was little. I made the brownies and gave her the books and stuff. She thought it was really sweet that I used my money from work to buy her stuff to make her feel better.

After I did something horrible, she forgave me and gave me another chance even though I felt I didn't deserve it and I wrote her a letter 6 months later after I cleaned up my act and stuff thanking her for having faith in me and telling her that even though I fought her a lot and caused problems I thought she was a great mom and she did so much for me. I just took the time to sit down and write out how much she meant to me, because I knew that if I tried to tell her to her face I'd probably cry. I wrote the letter and left it on her night stand. The next day she came to me and thanked me. She told me that even though she knew deep down that I really appreciated her, it was so great for me to actually tell her.

  2. Wow!

    That's really nice of you!

How about getting good grades? As far as I'm concerned that's the best way you can repay them for their sacrifice since that's the reason they want you to go to a good school

My parents spend $25,000 every year for me!!!!!!!! Insane, yes. I do whatever I can to make full use of my education and earn the best grades I can.

  3. breakfast in bed, do all the work around the house.

  4. Awww.....that's sweet. :]

Maybe you guys could get up early one day and make them Breakfast. I'm sure they'd love it.

  5. Many times I remember the sacrifices my parents make for me, so I just put extra effort in chores and stuff.
