  1. oh shut up you freak

  2. Ehrm, I suppose this was a feeble attempt at slight humor, but I dont get it. Why do we have to "forgive" Bush. Why not forgive the American citizens for putting him to office in the first place?

  3. I'm not religious, I don't feel the need to forgive Hitler.

I think Bush will not be remembered favorably.  At least, I hope not.

    Edit: Agreed, Dean.

2nd Edit: What part of my answer got me the TD?

  4. Forgive and forget; Relive and regret.  So even if you are religious you should never forget for then you are putting yourself in the posistion of having it done again.  I always believe in fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

  5. To compare Hitler to Bush is distasteful and frankly quite disgusting.  It downplays the Holocaust and Hitler's horrible regime.

We don't need to forgive or forget Bush.  Let history see how his legacy plays out.  Likewise we don't need to forgive or forget Hitler.  But to compare the non-existant suffering of Americans today to the horrors of n**i Germany is vile.

  6. Hitler grabbed dictatorial powers some time after being democratically elected ( with a lot of intimidation by his SA), when von Hindenburg died.  As for forgiveness, that is personal.  It cannot be legislated, enforced, debated or questioned.  Each person must make their own minds to forgive: after all, Corporal Hitler is more than 60 years dead, and there are fewer people directly affected by him every year.

Bush was voted in by a people who were under no pressure to do so.  He is easily the worst president in your history (though the immediacy of his actions may make him seem worse), but what about the 60% or more of your population, who could vote him out but sat by, complained yet did nothing?

They are the ones to blame for two-term Bush.  He only got in for the first term because of politico-legal shennanigans.

I wonder if the American people would have the common sense  to refuse to vote in another Bush, say if Jeb had a go for the White House at some point?
