The Manchester City defender claims that his side have shown enough quality this season to retain the Premiership crown as they are the only team to remain unbeaten in the League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini’s troops may not be functioning at the very height of their abilities since August, but their points tally is as impressive as ever, with no defeat marring their perfect record.
The main attribute in that winning streak is perhaps the team’s new found attitude towards a match, in which they are determined to emerged with victory no matter how badly they perform.
With their latest demonstration against Tottenham on the weekend, City have proven that alongside Manchester United, they can turn around odds on the unluckiest of days and still escape from the jaws of defeat.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandar-Kolarov-c4475 has been a consistent feature for the Sky Blues this term and although he hasn't featured on his favourite left-back position, he remains committed to the club’s cause and added that with their recent good form, the Premier League trophy
deserves to remain at the Etihad Stadium for the time being.
Like United, City seem to have overcome the barrier of playing well and earning points, which has helped them secure top position in the standings and chase their neighbors for England’s most coveted prize, a battle which Kolarov is eager to see his side
win.
“I understand why we get so much criticism - everybody wants to beat us because we are the champions and haven't lost any games this season. The smallest teams, and the biggest ones, all want to beat us and give 200 per cent to do that.”
He also commented on the reigning champions’ form in the UEFA Champions League, claiming that although they had lost a lot of games in Europe’s premier competition, their eyes were still on English football’s biggest award.
"We have lost games in the Champions League but I think we are still the best team in the Premier League and if we play the way we know how, we will be the champions. If we carry on playing with the same spirit we showed against Spurs, nobody can beat us."
