Kirk Edwards, who became the 13th West Indies batsman to score a century on a debut, was a bit disappointed after losing his wicket at 110 runs, but hoped that the hosts can still make a comeback in the game.

"We can still make a game out of this. We have lots of fighting characters. I am a fighter. We will fight," he declared.
The 26-year-old right-handed batsman from Barbados played a pain-staking 110-run innings off 195 balls, plundering nine boundaries and a six as well.

When asked whether he was nervous while playing under such pressure on his debut, Edward said that he was not nervous as he knew he had his work cut out so he just stuck to the task.
