While the decision regarding the Bangladeshi cricket team touring their neighbouring country still remains unclear, owing to a confirmation from the Prime Minister, the BCB chief has shown his intent to convince other boards in touring Pakistan on a firm
note.
“Due to political reasons, the Indian team is not touring Pakistan. But I shall try to convince the other boards like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 etc to send their teams to Pakistan,” he said.
Kamal told that BCB has no particular concern over not sending their team to Pakistan; however, he claimed the board is looking forward to have the full support of the highest governing body, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625, before finally giving the tour a green light.
“Our team will tour Pakistan. I don’t know when it would happen. What if we go there only and other boards continue to ignore Pakistan,” he said.
He further added that he will take up the issue of a proposed tour in ICC’s board meeting, hoping to seek a full approval.  
When asked about the security report of Pakistan, the BCB chief reveled that he found the information neither positive nor negative.
After the 2009 attacks on the Sri Lankan team, Pakistan has not hosted any international series on home soil. The incident terminated the country’s international hosting status and deprived them from sharing 2011 World Cup games with India and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
The Green Shirts have been forced to host matches at neutral venues, with UAE being their preferred destination.
The chairman further revealed that the issue has not been discussed with the national team so far.
“So far no player or support staff has expressed concern over touring Pakistan. Their views will only be obtained once the Pakistan tour is confirmed,” disclosed the BCB chief.
