We cant decide where to go on our honeymoon....help?

We want to go somewhere but we cant spend more than $2000 total. It will be late August so it will be SUPER hot and it's hurricane season for many of the tropical places. To top it all off my fiancee does not have her passport so we have to stay in the United States. We were thinking of Myrtle Beach....maybe a road trip to Chicago. Any ideas for us??

What about out west.  The national parks are beautiful.  Or somewhere in Maine or in New England?
