We cant use sogotrade up here in Canada :( Any online trading website for North America?

I'd suggest you not use Sogotrade anyway, since they do stocks only, and therefore no leeway if you like to learn something like options or mutual funds (last I checked with Sogotrade maybe two months ago).

The best are probably TradeKing, ThinkorSwim, and Zecco, IMO. Check them out. I do have a list of brokers I made on an investing website I tried to make a few months ago -- http://www.stockmarketresources.blogspot... -- that site will keep you busy for a while. It's basically all my trading and investing resources I used for my first 6 months of learning and researching things like brokers. You will also find resources (such as ratings on trading books and brokerages) on elitetrader.com.
