We caught a mouse in the mouse trap....

Now what do we do with it. my mom does not want to release it near the house fear of it will come back. what should we do with it?

ok if it was a real mouse trap it would have snapped it and killed it instantly...

if it was a live trappppp WHAT WERE U THINKING??? ur supposed to kill it with those traps u put penutbutter on that snapps it in half..

just put some rubbing alcohol on its nose and face and itll get woosy... or die...

then just take it to the creek and put it in the water. itll die

It was obviously a trap that keeps them locked in when they go in and get the food.

All you have to do is release it in a nearby field or woods.

No need to kill it or anything just release it in a nearby field it won't come back!!

If it was a live trap, go to the park and release it there.

If it was a snap trap, just put it in a compost pile or in the garbage can for the garbage man to take it.

I certainly hope you've been watering and feeding the poor mouse in the 3 days since you posted this question.  If you don't want to kill it, release it at least 50 miles from your house.
