Alexandra Rose for a girl is a beautiful, classic sounding name.  Lucas and Joshua are great boys names and sound nice with Alexandra.

Alexa is cute, but someday she may decide she doesn't care for it-- that's the great thing about the name Alexandra-- versatility.  She could also get from Alexandra the following:

Allie

Lexi

Andra

Andie (like Andie McDowell)

I think the full name is beautiful and Alexa is a cute nickname for it.

I think you made the right choice for sure!  You could probably just use Alexa Rose, rather than Alexandra.  Either way though, I think it's really beautiful and very classic.  :-)

pretty but how about either Alexzander, or Alexzandru (his nickname would still Alex), or if she is a girl its a very pretty name for your little girl! How about William, or Thomas,?[I thought you meant the child was a boy also],(He big brothers are named)!

I love the name and glad that you have went with the shortened name of Alexa instead of Alex, this still keeps the name feminine. Even Alexa Rose is nice.
