http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833, the goalkeeper of Juventus, has gone on to remark on their performance at the San Siro and was in no mood to look for excuses for their San Siro loss.
On the 14th match day of the Serie A, Juventus were travelling away to the city of Milan to face off their bitter rivals, AC Milan, and even though the matches between the two sides have paled in comparison to the year that has passed; the Milan-Juve
tie is still watched with keen anticipation throughout the world of football. Juventus were bringing along with them their 18 month unbeaten run in all away matches in the Serie A, but they were unable to leave the San Siro with that record intact, as they
crumbled to a defeat at the hands of the Rossoneri outfit.
The Milanello giants have not even been a shadow of the side from the past and Juventus were the resounding favourites to secure victory in the match and increase the lead at the top of the table. However, the Turin giants were unable to secure both these
things as they failed to penetrate into the Rossoneri half on a regular basis as well as converting any of the chances they managed to carve out.
Buffon has remarked that they should have performed better, and that they had ample amount of time to make their comeback in the match. While commenting on the penalty kick, he remarked that he felt that he had saved it well, but the ball made its way in
to the goal. Furthermore, he also remarked on his opinion regarding the penalty kick, and he went on to state:
“I saved it so well that it went in. In my view it wasn’t a penalty, but incidents like that can happen. The fact remains that we had time to get the game back on track and didn’t do it. We had an hour to muster some kind of response. So much has happened
in the last year and a half. If we want to find an excuse for this defeat, then we can, but the truth is that we deserved to lose this time.”
Buffon remarked that the best way to go about this situation was to be self critical and work on their faults.
