We are trying to sell this on ebay and someone has asked us this question. We are not clinical people so we do not know.

  1. I tried to do some research to help you in this as I was curious also. The only result I can come up with is the difference between a manual and digital. The manual has a needle that measures the beats when you wear a stethoscope whereas the digital does not require a stethoscope.

  2. a no pin gauge is one that is either a digital read out, or a mercurial measurement (those are very old and not normally seen anymore).  If there is a needle pointing to numbers on a dial...that is a pin gauge.
