  1. Why not get the worming drops.instead they go on the back of the neck just as you do for flea treatment. its so much less stress full for the cat than having a tablet forced down its throat.

Your vet sells them ,Just ask,

  2. If it was within as little as an hour he will have puked the tablet and will not have been wormed.

Pain in the a*s with them being so expensive but he wont have been wormed.

I dont know what advice your vet gave you but re-worm him in a day or so (when his tummy has settled back down). Give him the tablet in the morning with a small amount of food and give the balance of his food later that day.

Wormers act as 'drain cleaners' so, whilst being very important to do, are quite harsh on the system.

If you have enough left use as I have said but if you need to go back to the vets mention it and they'll prob give you a different type that will be just as effective but may suit him more.

  3. Call your vet to make sure. They'll know exactly how the type of medicine your cat has is absorbed, if you should give him another dose (if it's dangerous in case of OD or if you can wait till the next round).

  4. Is the wormer over-the-counter or did you get it threw the vet?  What ever the case don't give kitty more- watch him for the next hour- you will want to check his gums and make sure they stay a nice pink color- if they are white right now you want to get him to the vet asap- also look on the box for a warning label- dig that thing out of the trash if you must - in a tiny warning it will often mention an antidote for cats who have a reaction to the medication. check it out-  try to feed kitty more food-  this is generally a good indicator that kitty is OK

  5. They normally throw up the worms after.

  6. check the information on the box,it probably says that they will be sick.keep an eye on it overnight and if you are still worried consult your vet again.i'm pretty sure it will be fine.

  7. I would contact your vet for advice before administering another dose,
