For Francesco Guidolin, head coach of Udinese, has gone on to comment on their European endeavours and feels they bid farewell to this year’s league with pride.
Liverpool needed a win to guarantee a place for them in the knockout stages of the Europa League and the Premier League outfit did just that when they faced the Zebrette outfit at the Stadio Friuli. Udinese have had an injury crisis of late and they were
not able to put their best outfit for most part of the European tournament. Thereby, in the final matches of the group stages where the result did not matter for the Bianconeri outfit, Guidolin fielded a side which would not further increase his liabilities
in the injuries department.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 have been fielding a relatively inexperienced outfit and have been giving opportunities to the fringe players to prove their worth to the team, and despite the fact that Liverpool needed a result to qualify for the upcoming match, they stuck to
the relatively inexperienced side. The team came away with the victory, with the goal coming from Henderson, as the Englishman guided the goal through the legs of the Udinese keeper after being set up by Suso.
While commenting on the match, Guidolin stated that it was a match against a great team and they only lost out in the match due to a lapse from a set play. However, he lamented the fact that they were unable to finish off their experience of the Champions
League with a good result, but stated that there were a lot of positives to take from the tournament. He stated that many youngsters were given vital exposure to European competition and went on to state:
“We played our game against a great team, losing only from a set play situation. It is a shame that we couldn’t finish this Europa League experience with a positive result, but we emerge with our heads held high. We had the toughest group of the whole competition,
one that looked more like a Champions League group, and gave opportunities to a lot of young players.”
The Bianconeri outfit could have scored an equaliser had http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306 converted his chance in the dying moments.
