‘We expect a very competitive tour here in Bangladesh’, says Richie Richardson - Cricket News Update

West Indies team manager, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 - where the Caribbean side is scheduled to kick off its tour next week, on October 11, 2011.
Following the team’s arrival in Dhaka, Richardson admitted that the Bangladeshi side is a formidable one, especially on their on their home-turf; however, he still believes that the Windies have what it takes to beat the Asian tigers.  
“They are a force to be reckoned with and have some good players in their team. But we believe we can beat them. Our players are in good form and we are really looking forward to the upcoming series. I believe you will see an exciting brand of cricket from

The tour officially kicks off on October 11, 2011, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium Mirpur, as both the sides head out to face each other in the one-off Twenty20 (T20) match.
The opener will then be followed by 3 One Day International (ODI) matches, spanning between October 13, and October 18. The venues for the games will include the Mirpur stadium, and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zahur-Ahmed-c98518 Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.  
As part of the tour’s final leg, the teams will also compete in the 2-match Test series, which will be played on October 21 and October 29.
As for Richardson's comments on the visit, the former West Indies batsman who played 86 tests and 224 ODIs for the national side, further stated that the team does not expect the tour to be an easy affair but still stands confident that the squad is well
equipped to beat the hosts.
“We have done our homework. We will be ready for whatever combinations we come up against, be it spin or seam or pace," added Richardson.
However, come October 11, the Caribbean squad will be aiming to settle its dues with team Bangladesh since their last battle in 2009, which resulted in the Caribbean Kings losing out to the Asian Tigers.
