Could you give us some picture links or tells us what kind of bird it might be.

Thanks!

  1. do you have a pic of the bird that u can either post on here or e-mail me. I am very into birds so I may be able to tell you what it is ?

  2. you can feed it a mixture of beef baby food and canned catfood + bird vitamins!

  3. if you want it to live, dont realise it. it WILL NOT survive on its own if its a chick.

  4. is the bird sick or something? if not, then release it since they live better outside of cages

  6. Does it have its feathers.  If so it is a fledgling and learning how to fly, put it back where you found it.  Its parents are still caring for it.  If it does not have feathers look for its nest and return it to the nest.  Your chances of properly raising it are slim.    The parents will not reject it because you have touched it birds have a very poor sense of smell.  If you cannot find the nest turn the bird over to a licensed wildlife rehaber, it is illegal for you to have it (Migratory Bird Treaty Act)  without a proper permit.

Yes there are cats, racoons etc everwhere thats called nature the parent birds will defend their young and try to drive off predators some suceed and some don't.  In the future leave wild animals alone.
