  1. the best thing you can do is go online or get your phone book and look for the nearest wildlife bird rescue.  you really can't care for it on your own.  they are out there if you look.  don't try to care for it yourself...you just don't have the resources.  let the pros do it.

  2. you should bring it into a wildlife organization because if you keep the bird it could grow tame and not be able to survive in the wild on its own, but while you wait to bring the bird in you should be sure to keep the bird at a very warm temperture around 80-90 degrees F because if you dont it can freeze also by what you are saying the bird seems to have just recently hatched which means you dont have to feed it because the yolk from the egg is stuck on its body and the baby bird will just pick the yolk off its body and eat it, but you do want to set out water for it in a bowl.  make sure the bird cant fall into the water because it could drown or get the chills it also might be helpful to sort of guide the bird to the water so it knows where it is

just be sure though to take the bird to a wildlife organization as soon as possible!!!!!! good luck with your bird i hope it

  3. If you want this bird to live and you don't want to break the law, your ONLY option is to get this bird to a local wildlife rehab.  It will most likely die in your care if you are not experienced feeding and raising baby birds.  You can easily drown it just by giving it water.  Please get it to an expert if the nest cannot be located.  Look for a  local rehab here:

  4. If you don't know what type of bird it is (and believe me it can be hard to tell with the babies), then you don't know what it eats, which could be seed, insects, or anything.

It is almost impossible to raise it if you don't know what it is and what it eats.

For example, if it is a seed eater then you can't just shove seeds down it's throat, the parents half digest it before feeding it to their babies, so you would need to get special stuff you make up.

Plus if you do manage to raise it till it can fly, it will almost certainly die when released as it will not have learned to forage for food.

The best thing you can do is keep it warm at all times and call a wildlife rescue person.

  5. hi

for a baby bird that young you need to get a kaytee hand feeding formula from a pet store and a cage of course but make like a nest with a small towel at the bottom of the cage. you should not give it water until it has feathers and feed it as often as possible.

i hope my advice was usefull...

  6. Keep it away from predators such as cats and dogs and call a vet or wildlife person. Looking after it yourself can be a bit risky.
