Okay, my friend and i found a chipmunk locked inside her window, we're not sure how long, but its pretty much dying. =[ It is alive, but is tired and can hardly move.

We put it in a box, with blankets wrapped around it, and holes in the top (for breathing).

OUR QUESTION:

What do we do with it?

What does it eat?

Can we feed it cucumber slices?

Can we feed it water through a test tube?

THANKS, we need all the help we can get.

10 points for best answer.

Thanks and we DO appreciate it, A LOT.

  1. Your best bet is to call animal services - They will be able to take better care of it than you.

However, as to your situation - Chipmunks are mostly omnivorous. They will eat anything - Cucumber is good, nuts are also good. A small hamster water bottle would work as well, or water in a shallow dish would work as well.

If it is close to dying, there is likely not much you can do. Nursing animals back to health is not as easy as it is made to seem on television, so once again I advise you to call animal services.

A warning: Chipmunks are wild animals. They are not as "domesticated" as squirrels and as such, even though you're doing your best for the little guy, percieving you as nothing less than a threat. Keep out of its space, observe from afar. Do not bother it any more than you have to, and keep your hands away from it. This is to prevent bites and infection.
