We recently started having our yard mowed by a private company since I am going to have surgery soon & my grandma is disabled. We ha never had a mole before until they started mowing today. Can those big ride on mowers carry the moles from yard to yard in the cut grass on the blade area.

  1. The mowers don't carry the moles from yard to yard.  The moles simply come in search of food.  They do there damage to the lawn in search of insects that they feed on.  If you have large piles of debris in the yard moles love it and you will have more.  They also like to live beneath decks and sheds.  The thing to do would be to treat your lawn for grubs which is the main diet of moles and then trap them and get rid of them.

  2. Moles are solitary animals and unite at breeding time..then seperate...thier offspring leave the nest very early on and find thier own territory to take over..You very rarely see alot of moles..just one here or there..
