I even write return to sender and write deceased on it.9and the date) It has been 4 years. Now we have moved to another town and we are even getting them there. I was wondering if there is a way to get hold of a the 3 reporting companies for credit to get her name off. i dont want anyone to use her name or ID. I have already called these companies, magazines, etc. They are not for bills.

  1. That is terrible.  I am so sorry you have to deal with that.  The only thing I know of that will get her opted out of prescreened offers is to call 1-888-5-OPTOUT or go to www.optoutprescreen.com.  That information is from the Federal Trade Commission.  I put the link below (for the FTC) if you want more information. They also have a .pdf file about it.  I hope it helps!

  2. Calling the credit card companies isn't going to help.

If these are just junk mail, not bills, then her name is still on junk mail lists that are being sold.  The address would have been changed automatically when you changed yours.

Someone has already given you an address to remove her name from junk mail lists - that should cut it down some.

  3. Sorry for your loss. What you should do is contact the credit bureaus and let them know if writing that your daughter has passed on

    www.equifax.com

    www.transunion.com

    www.experian.com

Send the letter via registered mail and keep a copy.

  4. Remove name from pre-screened credit offers by major credit bureaus

    https://www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t

    1.888.567.8688

  5. I would call the credit bureaus and tell them whats going on and put an alert out on her credit to make sure no one is trying to use her ss# to purchase stuff.
