If your talking about being pulled behind a motorized boat then most of the tricks come from the Boat Driver's Maneuvering capability, although some thing's can be affected by the rider. Somethings I like to try is to try to tilt the tube so your riding practically side ways (like a car on its side wheels). Another "trick" is for the boat driver to create wakes by have the boat turn in a circle for a while, then go perpendicular into a wake and try to attempt to launch the tube into the air. Try to stay on the outside of the wake.  This way you will be on the "flattest" part of the water.  Its a bit tricky to get there but it works.
