We got married here in Dubai in Philippine Consulate last year 2007, now, my husband will be sponsoring me,?

do we still need to have our marriage certificate authenticated in the UAE embassy in the Philippines, or we can have it authenticated here in Dubai, Ministry of Foreign Affairs?

  1. if you have married in Dubai , but have contacted the embassy of the Philippines, did? you get your marriage records from them? because that is why you went there for , for your marriage to be valid,

    have authenticated/ transcribed by the embassy/ consular services,in Dubai,not the ministry of foreign affairs,


  2. I think as long as you have an official translation of your marriage certificate, and the original certificate granted by a government agency, then you should be fine. Are you applying through Direct Consular Filing? If so and the marriage certificate is in the langauge of the country where embassy you will be applying to is located, you don't need even a translation.

  3. Take the marriage certificate issued by philippines embassy to foreign ministry in dubai or abudhabi and get it endorsed.

    You can do it very easiy.
