Question:

We had our kitchen cabinets repainted BM Old Prarie with a pewter glaze on top. Why are they turning yellow?

Old Prairie is a light cream color with just a hint of green (not yellow at all). The cabinets turned yellowish a couple of days after they were painted. I was told that the clear protective coat was water based. I thought water based was less likely to turn yellow. I have a ton of cabinets and hate to have them redone, but it isn't the look I was going for. My walls are painted Old Prairie and I wanted the cabinets to match. Thanks for any input.
