We have a 7 hour stop over in Lima... ?

Its from 6pm until 1am and we have been advised to stay at the airport- will we be comfortable for 6 hours there? Is the airport nice?

well ive never been there but try to keep yourself busy so the 6 hrs can go by faster. try to listen to music or play games, go walking around, shop, or just try to find something entertaining. before you know it time will fly by fast. have a nice trip!

I've never been to Lima so can't comment on the safety of the surrounding area.

But, I had an 11pm-7am layover in Bombay and there's no way I would have just sat around the airport with such an exotic place waiting right on the other side of the door.  We hopped in a taxi and went all over the city and to the beach, and came back to the airport at 5am.

I'd say if the area is at all safe, and unless you have some important business meeting the next day that you need to be well-rested for, go out and have some late-night fun in Lima!!

The airport is nice, modern, clean - but boring. There are a few shops and small cafes but nothing special. I'd bring something to do while you're waiting. It's probably too late in the evening to even do any sightseeing.
