This bee is literally 2 inches long and so big we saw it carrying a dead locust into the nest today. We've tried drowning it out, and using bee killer, but it keeps on living! We don't know what it is or what to do about it... any suggestions??

  1. Put fireworks in its nest.

  2. It sounds like a ground bee.  They do help with pollination.  If you do use insecticides use a powder for that way it is carried back into the hive.  That is why we are having a large problem with the bee shortage in the world.  If there is a hive you may want to call the police to see if there is a bee keeper in your city and have him/her remove them.  Heres a site that may help you out.  But please try to have them remove to help mother nature.

  3. That sounds more like a hornet/yellow jacket than a bee.  Bees live in hives.

  4. Check out Wikipedia for a Cicada killer wasp. They won't bother you., and they will soon be gone for the season. We used to stand out with a tennis racket and.....well....you get the message.

  5. Is he in the foundation or is he actually in the wood underneath the house? it could be a carpenter bee. they're pretty harmless. all bees are if you leave em alone.
