  1. it may just need to be cleaned. it is working harder in the winter so therefore it wont stay nearly as clean as it will in the summer, pilot lights can be very temperamental sometimes.

  2. seem to have a faulty zone valve on your hot side of the system most new boilers don't have a pilot light if its a systems boiler try turning the power off then on again with both hot water and heating turned off at the programmer if it stays off replace the valve

  3. Most probably the pilot flame needs adjusting. The flame strength can be adjusted to make it more stable. there is an adjusting s***w in the gas valve, but it is best left to a corgi gas man to do this. The boiler Burner is "Sucking" the pilot light out because when it ignites, it can cause a slight vacuum on the pilot flame.

  4. Look at the pilot flame. If there is any yellow or orange in it then clean the pilot hole with a pipe cleaner.

  5. i personally would be worried if it did go out, winter or summer. suggest you connect with a heating engineer

  6. thats weird

  7. If the boiler is a combi, which some older combis do have standing pilots then i would suggest that the boiler is overheating. The thermocouple that keeps the pilot flame alight is linked to an overheat thermostat. If all the radiators have thermostatic valves and there is no by-pass on the system, the boiler will overheat, switching the pilot light out.

Remove a sensor from a radiator valve to create a by-pass loop,if the pilot stops going out then that's the problem.
