When we first crank the boat it cranks right up. Then after running it awhile, and we stop to fish we try to crank it back up and it floods easy and want start without putting it in gear and running the rpms up. Not always will this work either. Could it possibly be a fuel pump??? Thanks for the feedback Kay...

  1. you don't say what year it is, that might make a difference.

But regardless...if the engine is warm and you're using the cold start procedure on it, don't.  It only needs to be choked for cold starts.

Beyond that, we need to know if it's carbureted or FI, choke plates or primer system, 2-stroke or 4-stroke.
