We have a Riverside Arms 12 gauge shotgun, the # on it is 1666B. How do I find out the year it was made?

It is a 12 gauge single barrel shotgun. It was made by Riverside Arms. The # on the metal plate is 1666B. We would like to know how old this gun is or what year it was manufactured.

It  was a Stevens made trade name from the early to mid 1900's

Was it made in Chicopee Falls, Mass

And yes two people can own a gun or anything else

riverside arms eh? Wow, that's not a company mentioned on every thread. You'll have to excuse my ignorance in the matter, I'm more of a tactical man.

Well my moneys on that it was made before the invention of trees....Not quite an accurate answer but that's the best I can do,
