I have never seen a beagle with blue eyes. Our dog has the prettiest eyes. she is mostly white with some black spots and a little brown and tan on the face. Does anyone know if this is a different breed of beagle. She is extremely smart! She trained us actually!

  1. I don't think there is a "different breed of beagles". Physical characteristics (such as eye color) is inherited. Genetics. It could just be the bloodlines she came from.

  2. The beagle is a breed in itself. There aren't different breeds of beagle. And Rayven covered the rest of what I had to say.

  3. No this just means she is a poor quality beagle.  Poorly-bred.  Or she could just be a beagle/mutt.  But she is not a good specimen of a beagle.

  4. Beagels have brown or hazel eyes per the standard. There are only two type and the only difference is how tall they are. She sounds like a beagle mix to me being mostly white.
