  2. Cruises are what you make em... You may have some noise when porting, but beyond that I wouldnt worry...

  3. Personally I would upgrade if it was too much more, but the cat 12 are located on deck 2 forward if you are talking about the disney wonder. the only bad thing about being down low in the front is you can hear the anchor drop. Happened to me on a Celebrity ship before I was in the business.

  4. You'll survive. You get all the same perks and services that the upper decks get. Its true, its not a balcony or veranda cabin but go and have fun. If you have small kids you'll probably be awake when they drop anchor anyway. Have fun

  5. category 12 is not too bad but there aren't any windows so it will feel very enclosed. although you will most likely spend most of your time outside your stateroom, if you would prefer one with a window, you could upgrade it to a category 9. it isn't much more expensive and it has a pretty large porthole with a great view of the ocean and it is also a little bit roomier. it is also on decks 1 and 2 so you wont be affected by the rocking of the ship as much. to also prevent feeling the ship rocking i would suggest requesting a room towards the center of the ship and not towards the front or the back.

  6. I did a lot reading on the Disney Cruise Line before my cruise.  This web sight has forums about the Disney Cruises and I bet you can even get an answer about your cabin from someone who stayed in that cabin.  Also off-season cruises have been noted to upgrade at check-in for no additional charge.

  7. we cruised disney magic in march of 07 and had a cat. 7.  we thought we would get alot of use from the veranda, but was rarely on it.  i would go out of a morning if we were coming into port and that was about it.  so if you upgrade, dont waste your money on that room type.  we made friends with a family that was on deck to and there room was the same size as ours and i think we will go that route next time.  my husband suffered from sea sickness and it was much better on deck 2 than deck 7.
