We have a new wall which the drywall company did a great job

the texture matches the old walls but when we painted it we have noticed small pen hols that the color did not take any ideas how to take care of it?

  1. "beermakesufat" has the correct answer. I do a lot of interior painting and designing. I put two coats on the last kitchen I did because it did the same thing. I've never had fresh drywall do it, personally.

    Just put on a nice second coat, and take your time rolling it on so it covers every little inch.


  2. use a little thicker napped roller..I would suggest a 3/4 inch nap..they hold more paint and fill in the voids on fresh texture better..

  3. Paint it again. The dry drywall sucked your fresh paint up like a dry sponge. :-)

  4. paint again.it should take care of the problem.add another coat.

  5. New drywall needs to be sealed before painting.  Use a primer/sealer that is made for drywall then repaint.
