  1. Lol........ I' ve a punto too, it' is black, but fortunatelly I' ve not this kind of problem so......... good luck. What colour is your punto?

  2. you could ask the mechanic if there is any cheaper solution or if you could get this done for a lower price at another mechanics but if nothing comes through you may just have to pay it or put up with it.

  3. Depends on the age of the car: Puntos are very cheap with good reason, they are one of the most unreliable cars on the road.

    It's worth getting a second opinion just in case, but £600 could get you this;

    or many more like it.

  4. Get a DIY man to look at it, if parts are needed, source them from a scrapyard.Before anything is taken off, check the PAS pump drive belt is not slipping !!!!

  5. the top section of the steering column needs replacing, its the most annoying design fault in these cars.  because the power steering isnt serviceable(!) the whole section needs replacing. sorry.

    if you do it yourself get it calibrated as soon as its on.

  6. if it's the power steering pump, then that's the price, not a lot of choice is there?

  7. yeah by paying that amount of money and hey presto, it's sorted
