It is 87' long, 5' deep, and 4' wide. Can I put trees (small) or other suggestions on plants?

  1. You should be able to put trees in the area you've described.  Although, I'd check on the root systems of the trees before I bought them.  You wouldn't want a tree with large root systems that would eventually grow out between your railroad ties.  We just got rid of our railroad ties and now have a stone wall.

  2. Awesome! Small is right, how about dwarf fruit trees? The roots aren't usually invasive and you get the bonuses of great flowers and fruit.
