  1. Better Questions Yield Better Answers....

Youve not given us enough details here.

Is this a gas or electric stove?  (both have a plug, heheh)

Is anything else on the stove working?  Lights, clock, etc?

Are there any other appliances or outlets not working?

When you checked the breaker box, did you flip the circuit breaker all the way off, and then back on?

There are all kinds of reasons why it might quit working... anything from the gas being shut off, to a control module not working, to a faulty ground, or leg supply coming into the home.  (If its a loose wire on the leg, then your other 220 volt appliances will not be working either, like an electric clothes dryer, or water heater.)  If you've had a thunderstorm or power surge since last night, it could have burned a chip in the control module.  The circuit breaker itself might have gone bad... rare, but it does happen, especially if there was a lightning strike.

You may want to call an appliance tech to check it out... typical service call runs about $50 to $75.  For tonight, I'd order out, or use the grill, hehehe.

If you have a multimeter, you can check the outlet for power...then at least you'd know if you needed an appliance tech, or an electrician.

    Good Luck

    Additional:

The microwave and refrigerator should each be on their own dedicated circuit.  What I'm saying is, they will work whether the stove does or not...theyre not on the same circuit as the stove.  The only reason they might not work, would be if they happened to be on a loose supply leg.  Other items that run on 220v would fail to operate, if you had a loose supply leg...these items would be an electric dryer, electric water heater, and a central air unit.  If those are all working fine, then the problem is not a loose supply leg, and its more likely either just the supply to the stove, or the stove itself.

Have you checked the outlet with a multimeter yet, to verify if you have power or not?

If you've got power to the outlet, then I'd suggest calling an appliance tech to chase down problem.  If you dont have power to the outlet, then you need an electrician.

There are no 'simple' steps to diagnose the problem beyond this... it means tearing into the stove, and it really needs to be done by someone whos got some experience at it.  They'll need to check the control modules as well as the stove wiring.

    Good Luck

  2. You say fuse box - if you really mean on that contains breakers, then it could be that the breaker is tripped but doesn't look like it.  It would be a 2 pole (2 switches) so try switching it off and back on.  If that does not work you will need an electrician - most do not do appliance repair because they don't have ready access to the appliance parts - so it would be your best guess if it is a broken appliance or a bad breaker or other problem.
